choc twisty scrolls

Made with sugar-free chocolate perfect for lunchboxes or as a guilt-free treat with your coffee.

This easy chocolate twisty scroll recipe requires just 3 ingredients for a mouth-watering, chocolatey sweet treat. Ready in less than 20 minutes, these are the perfect treat that feels indulgent but has little or no added sugar.

Trying to reduce sugar intake is so difficult these days especially when you are buying pre-made treats loaded with it.

In this recipe we used the sugar free Noshu choc chips and skip the icing sugar if you want to make them completely added sugar free.

Use Nutella and serve warm with a dollop of ice cream for an indulgent option.

These are also great to bake and freeze in batches for convenience. But we warn you …they are addictive!! You might want to make these when no one is home as they disappear quickly!

Ingredients:

  • 1 x Sugo tu Pizza Dough

  • Noshu Chocolate chips

  • Icing sugar (optional)

Notes:

  • One dough = 8 scrolls

  • Bake and freeze in batches for convenience

  • Use Nutella and serve warm with ice cream for an indulgent option

Method:

1) Pre-heat the oven to 200C.

2) Prepare the dough according to pack

3) Melt the chocolate chips over water, place the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl and set it on top of a saucepan filled with a shallow layer of simmering water, ensuring the bowl doesn't touch the water directly Stir the chocolate gently until it melts evenly and is free of lumps.

4) Dust your bench with flour and cut the dough into 8 strips

5) Gently stretch out each piece of dough to about 15cm x 5cm

6) Using a spoon to apply the melted chocolate to each piece

7) Twist the strips and then curl them into a scroll shape pinching the end of the dough so that they don't unravel.

8) Place on a baking tray and bake for 6-7 minutes until the edges are golden brown.

9) Dust with icing sugar

Enjoy!
