boxing day pizza feast

Christmas meats that keep on giving!

​

When Christmas day is over and you’ve already eaten your share of fridge-cold slices of ham, it's time to jazz things up a bit on boxing day. Here are two ways to use leftover leg ham and chicken/turkey.

 

For these pizzas we used a roasting pan covered with a generous glug of olive to create deep-dish style pizzas. The oven was set to 210C to cook a little slower and get super crispy.

 

You don't have to stick to the ingredients we used, try any condiments such as chutney, mustard, cranberry or honey.

Ingredients - Ham Pizza:

  • 1 x Sugo tu Pizza Dough 

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Sliced Mozzarella cheese

  • Sugo tu Pizza Sauce

  • Leg Ham

  • Pineapple chunks

  • Jalapenos

 

Ingredients - Chicken/Turkey Pizza:

 

  • 1 x Sugo tu Pizza Dough 

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Chicken or Turkey

  • Sliced Mozzarella cheese

  • Sugo tu Pizza Sauce

  • Fresh Basil

  • Cranberry Sauce

  • Goats Cheese

Method:

​

1) Pre-heat the oven to 210C.

2) Prepare the dough according to pack instructions. if you are using our frozen dough, make sure the dough has doubled in size and is soft, fluffy and full of air pockets.

3) Pour a generous glug of olive oil into the roasting pan. Carefully shape the doughs side-by-side being careful to preserve the air pockets in the dough.

4) Top with pizza sauce, mozzarella and your other toppings. Leave the basil and goats cheese as a garnish for after baking.

5) Bake for about 8 minutes until the edges are golden brown and garnish the chicken pizza with fresh Basil and goats cheese.
