BREAKFAST PIZZA

breakfasthefe.jpg

Pizza for breakfast?? Yes please!! Endless topping combinations  - why not try with baked beans, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, basil or chutney.

Some tips before you get started:

  • Watch our dough prep video here

  • Flour your dough generously

  • Before topping, place your stretched dough onto a floured piece of baking paper that way you can easily slide it onto a baking tray or pizza stone

  • No one likes a soggy pizza - less is more when it comes to toppings!

Ingredients:

  • 1 x Sugo Tu pizza dough disc

  • 100g Bocconcini or shredded mozzarella

  • 4 strips of bacon

  • 2 eggs

  • Salt & pepper

  • Fresh spinach to garnish

Method:

Pre-heat the oven to 250 deg Celsius.  Fry the bacon until just cooked.

Thaw dough according to pack instructions. Stretch the dough to about 11" and place on a piece of floured baking paper.

Top with the cheese and bacon. Then crack the eggs on to the pizza - try not to place them too close to the centre to ensure better cooking.

Bake for 5-8 minutes or until the crust is blistery and golden brown and the eggs are cooked to your liking. Remember the eggs will continue to cook for a minute once removed from the oven.

After baking sprinkle with a fresh spinach and salt & pepper.
